Bayonet probe

Bayonet probes are used in process measurement technology, e.g. in the plastics industry. The immersion depth or the installation length can be adjusted to suit the measuring task by means of the rotating bayonet cap. The bayonet lock ensures a secure hold and the threaded rising spring ensures a constant contact pressure.

The bayonet tip can be varied between flat and pointed to suit your application. We offer this design as platinum resistance thermometer or as thermocouple. The bayonet probes can be manufactured with cable and wire end sleeves or the matching connectors.

Technical requirements bayonet probes

Bayonet probes detect the temperature on tools or machines that are used in production processes, e.g. in the plastics industry. 

There are high technical requirements for bayonet sensors. On the one hand, they should be flexible and easy to integrate into the process. On the other hand, the materials used must be able to withstand the high temperature range and provide sufficiently fast and precise measurement values to enable secure control and monitoring of the process. The probes must always measure within the specification with long-term stability over their entire service life.

Design bayonet probes

Bayonet probes are supplied with a threaded riser spring and a rotating bayonet cap. With the bayonet cap the immersion depth and the installation length can be regulated. The thread-climbing spring ensures constant contact pressure and the bayonet cap a tight hold in the process.

The bayonet tip can be varied between flat and pointed to suit your application. We offer this design as platinum resistance thermometer or as thermocouple. The bayonet probes can be manufactured either with cable and wire end sleeves or with the connectors suitable for your application.
