Our clip probes are applied for temperature measurements on pipes such as the flow and return of heating systems. Due to their design, they are easy to mount at the measuring point and can be exchanged very fast. You can adapt our clip sensors individually to your measuring task.

Clip probes are a specific form of pipe contact probes. Clip probes detect the water temperature at the flow and return of the heating system per surface measurement. Clip temperature probes are easy to install and can be maintained or replaced quickly and easily because probes can be simply clipped onto the pipe. It is important to consider that compared to an inverse measurement, the surface temperature measurement is much slower and less accurate.
For this very reason, the correct and identical positioning of the contact sensor on flow and return pipes is important in order to keep measurement errors as small as possible. Due to their design, the clip-on sensors can be thermally optimally coupled to the measuring point.
Clip probes should be cost-effective, yet have a long service life of 15 years and work reliably and within specification throughout their entire service life.
Design clip probes
Clip probes are a specific form of pipe contact probes. Design and material of the contact body are as important as the good thermal coupling to the process. Therefore the clip sensors can be simply clipped onto the pipeline.
Your individual specification also determines whether we manufacture the temperature sensors with cable and wire end sleeves or the suitable connectors for your application. We would be pleased to advise you on this and suggest a suitable, qualified sensor type.
